George Zimmerman’s search for online love has come to an abrupt end.
The 35-year-old murderer of Trayvon Martin relied on the popular dating app, Tinder, to find some “carefree fun.” While looking for his next hookup, Zimmerman’s profile was deleted by app management because he lied about who he was. He essentially catfished women into thinking he was “Carter,” a graduate of Virginia’s Liberty University.
A spokesperson for Tinder confirmed to the New York Post, “At Tinder, we take our users’ safety very seriously, and our team has removed this profile from our platform. We utilize a network of industry-leading automated and manual moderation and review tools, systems, and processes — and spend millions of dollars annually — to prevent, monitor and remove bad actors who have violated our Community Guidelines and Terms of Use from our app.”
Screenshots of the faux page showed a smiling Zimmerman describing himself as “Self-employed.” Others were of him in a cap and gown and shirtless, holding a phone showing off a chest tattoo.
This is the second time he’s been removed from a dating app since being exposed on Bumble in February. That incident resulted in him being “blocked and banned,” according to a spokesperson.
