Trump has always shown extreme confidence even as politicians and media questioned his possible collusion with Russian Officials to sway the 2016 election. And although he has consistently denied that there was ever any effort to cover up shady dealings, his reaction to the appointment of Former FBI Director Robert Mueller behind the scenes told a different story.

According to key points released in the 448-page report, Trump thought it was “Presidency (Game) Over” when Robert Mueller was appointed as the special counsel.

When former Attorney General Jeff Sessions told Trump that Mueller was going to be leading the investigation into the accusations against him, Trump reportedly said “Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency. I’m f****d.”

Trump then berated Sessions for recusing himself from the investigation. Session allegedly told Mueller and his investigators that Trump felt betrayed and was angry with Sessions for not protecting him.

While Mueller’s report has determined that there was no collusion, the report does still stress that based on its comprehensive findings it does not exonerate Trump.

There were countless examples of Trump making attempts to block the investigation, sideline key players and downright stalling when investigators made attempts to meet with him in person.

Based on the information provided in the report, the only reason the Donald was unsuccessful in actually obstructing justice was because the minions he tried to pressure to do so, refused to follow orders.

“The President’s efforts to influence the investigation were mostly unsuccessful, but that is largely because the persons who surrounded the President declined to carry out orders or accede to his requests,” Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report read.

Mueller’s team also revealed that while they believed they had the “authority and legal justification” to subpoena Trump to testify, Mueller was more than certain that doing so would only further delay the entire investigation because Trump would likely not cooperate.

Trump did eventually agree to provide some answers but responded to questions sent to him in written form from the special counsel and often used the “I don’t recall” answer to most of what he was asked.

Some political pundits have suggested that Mueller carefully crafted this report as a way to pass the buck to Congress as to whether or not to take any legal action against the celebrity-in-chief.
