On Tuesday, Gervonta Davis was arrested on charges of domestic violence after a viral incident with his baby mama, Andretta Smothers. Now, according to court documents obtained by the Blast, the boxer has been ordered to stay away from the mother of his child.
The incident took place over the weekend, just one day before the Super Bowl kicked off in Miami. In the video of the incident, Davis is seen approaching his baby mama, grabbing her by her collar and dragging her out of the facility.
Although Davis maintained that he never hurt or put hands on Smothers, he did admit to being aggressive. “I never once hit her, yea I was aggressive and told her to come on. That’s the mother of my child, I would never hurt her.”
However, despite the statement, Davis was hit with one count of misdemeanor simple battery domestic violence and ordered to stay away from his baby mama upon his release.
