Super Bowl weekend in Miami is known for its parties, but one man says his night out ended with a missing $36,000 watch. According to the Sun Sentinel and local police reports, he is now asking for the public’s help identifying the woman he says he left the club with.
The 28 year old man told police he went to a pre Super Bowl party at LIV nightclub in Miami Beach, where he met a woman who went by the name Carolina. He said the two danced and went bar hopping until about 5 a.m.
After the club, he said he took her back to a friend’s home on Grant Street in Hollywood, Florida. He told police he believes he may have been drugged at some point that morning. That is his account, and police have not said how he was affected.
According to the Sun Sentinel, the man said he locked his white 2015 Tesla, but after the woman left, he noticed his $500 key fob was missing. He then found that his $36,000 Rolex Daytona was gone from the car’s cup holder, and he called police.
The incident report says the woman left the home around 7:30 a.m. with the key fob and unlocked the car as she walked away. About ten minutes later, security video shows a man reaching into the car. Police have not said who that man is or how he is connected to the woman.
Investigators are asking the public for help identifying the woman, who they believe may be from New Jersey. No one has been charged, and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
