Gervonta Davis was arrested on Tuesday on a domestic violence charge after a video of an incident with Andretta, the mother of his child, went viral. Now, according to court documents obtained by The Blast, the boxer has been ordered to stay away from her.
The incident took place over the weekend in Miami, ahead of the Super Bowl. The video appears to show Davis approaching Andretta, grabbing her by the collar and pulling her out of the venue.
Davis has said he never hit her. In a statement, he said, “I never once hit her,” while admitting he was aggressive in the moment and saying he would never hurt the mother of his child.
Even so, Davis was charged with one count of misdemeanor simple battery domestic violence, and according to the court documents, he was ordered to stay away from her upon his release.
A charge is an accusation and not a conviction. At the time of this report, Davis had not been convicted of anything, and the case was still ahead of him in court.
