Governor Andrew Cuomo continues to refuse to resign, claiming lawmakers who are calling for his resignation are “bowing to cancel culture.”
According to Business Insider, Cuomo once again refused on a conference call this morning, after more Democrats at the state and federal level have called for his ouster.
“I did not do what has been alleged, period,” Cuomo stated on a conference call with reporters.
Cuomo is steadfastly standing his ground on the matter, despite a litany of departures within the ranks of his staff and the mounting pressure from lawmakers who he claims are “playing politics” by urging him to leave office.
“People know the difference between playing politics, bowing to cancel culture, and the truth,” the governor told reporters.
Cuomo slammed politicians who have called for his resignation, saying, “Politicians who don’t know a single fact, but yet form a conclusion and an opinion are, in my opinion, reckless and dangerous,” the Governor said, later adding that they are “bowing to cancel culture” and represent “politics at its worst.”
