Sharon Osbourne is speaking out after Holly Robinson Peete accused her of claiming she was “too ghetto” for The Talk.
Robinson-Peete, who left the show after the first season in 2011, made the accusations against Osbourne on Twitter on Friday.
“I’m old enough to remember when Sharon complained that I was too “ghetto” for #theTalk…then I was gone,” Robinson Peete wrote. “I bring this up now bc I was mortified watching the disrespectful condescending tone she took w/her co host who remained calm & respectful because…she HAD to.”

One day later, Osbourne also took to Twitter to deny the claims made against her. Osbourne insists she played no part in Robinson Peete’s exit from the show or that she referred to her as “too ghetto.”
“In response to Holly Robinson Peete’s accusation of me getting her fired from The Talk, I am sharing an e mail sent to me from Holly one month after she was let go by CBS. As I have stated before, I have never had the ability/authority to get anyone fired from The Talk,” she tweeted.
Accompanying the tweet is an email from Robinson Peete to Osbourne from 2011 that accuses former The Talk host Julie Chen of having a hand in Robinson Peete leaving the show. Chen made her own exit in 2018 following her husband Les Moonves’ resignation from CBS over numerous sexual harassment allegations surfaced.
“An addendum to my previous Tweet. Never in my life did I utter the words that Holly was “too ghetto” to be on the Talk, as well as not having her fired,” Osbourne wrote in a follow-up tweet.
Robinson Peete’s accusations followed Osbourne’s defense of Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan. Morgan faced backlash for comments he made about Meghan Markle following her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
