The cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta have been in San Juan, Puerto Rico for a few days now celebrating the birthday of new cast member actress/singer Demetria McKinney. Also joining the cast is radio personality Claudia Jordan and according to sources the drama has started already!!
Here’s what we know about the cast. Contrary to rumors, Nene Leakes and Porsha Williams are indeed returning. Also returning to the show are Kenya, Cynthia, Kandi, and Phaedra. About the newbies, Demetria McKinney is an actress and singer most known for her work as Janine Payne in Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. She has a new single titled “100” featuring Da Brat that she’s currently promoting. Da Brat was also in Puerto Rico so expect to see her on an episode or two of RHOA. Claudia Jordan is a reality television and radio personality. She is known for appearing as a model on Deal or No Deal, Celebrity Apprentice and is currently a co-host on the Ricky Smiley Morning Show.
Some spoiler tea I’m hearing across the web is that Nene is still quite the diva and newcomers Demetria and Claudia are already not having it. There’s a bit of a switch in Team Talls and Team Smalls. Claudia (who was friends with Kenya prior to the show) and Demetria clique up with Kenya and Cynthia. While Nene, Porsha, Kandi and Phaedra have decided to clique up. Also this season expect to see Kenya and Apollo (who reports to jail next week) make amends, Cynthia opens a new bar in Charlotte, Kandi and Todd try for a baby (which we reported earlier) and Nene launches a clothing line. You may have also noticed that Porsha has a job at DishNation, along with Claudia, but the two never work the same days. I wonder if that’s intentional.
