Move over, Jeremy Meeks. There’s a new sexy criminal out here in these Internet streets and this time, she’s a woman. 24-year-old Sarah Seawright, who has been dubbed #PrisonBae on social media, has been gaining notoriety ever since her mugshot was released by police earlier this month.
Seawright was arrested last month in Arkansas for failure to show up in court for a reckless driving charge. However, this was not her first time getting in trouble with the law. She was previously arrested in 2012 for aggravated robbery, kidnapping, and battery in connection to an incident in a Target parking lot. According to police records, she offered to give a ride to a male acquaintance outside of a Target, then drove him to where her accomplice was waiting. Her friend then robbed the man at gunpoint and hit him on the head with his gun. Seawright was arrested for her part in the crime and sentenced to five years probation.
Despite her past, her admirers are willing to forgive and forget. Even former NFL player Chad Ochocinco had something to say about Prison Bae, though being the admittedly frugal man he is, he said he would not bail her out of jail. “Today is a day to save money, she’s gonna have to sit & think about her mistakes like I did,” he tweeted in reference to Seawright’s mugshot.
Since being arrested in late April, all charges against Seawright have been dropped and she has been released on bond, where she seems to be enjoying her newfound Internet stardom.
