The internet has a new viral mugshot. A 24 year old Arkansas woman named Sarah has been nicknamed #PrisonBae on social media after police released her booking photo.
According to news reports, Sarah was arrested in Arkansas in April for failing to appear in court on a reckless driving charge. Reports say she was released on bond and that the charges against her were later dropped.
A former NFL receiver weighed in on Twitter, joking that he would not be bailing her out. “Today is a day to save money, she’s gonna have to sit and think about her mistakes like I did,” he wrote.
Plenty of people online had fun with the photo, and it drew comparisons to the viral mugshot craze of 2014. As always, a booking photo is not a verdict, and a viral moment does not tell the whole story of anyone’s life.
