There’s been an ongoing debate surrounding public breastfeeding and if it should be done. While some people feel that breastfeeding is a natural feeding process that shouldn’t have to be hidden or done in any sanitary bathroom, others believe that it should be done only in private.
Now, those who travel by plane will have the conscience of using a breastfeeding station to feed their hungry infants.
In fact, all commercial airports are now required to install lactation rooms throughout the airport for nursing mothers.
According to USA Today, the move comes as a part of the Friendly Airports for Mothers Act from 2017. The act was a part of the five-year reauthorization of the Federal Aviation which was signed on October 5.
The lactation rooms must be posted at every passenger terminal and comes with a list of other regulations including being shielded from view, and being behind security.
