The long running paternity case between NFL receiver Antonio Brown and Chelsie, the mother of his children, reportedly took a more serious turn in late December 2019 when a domestic violence matter was added to the court record.
According to reports on the Broward County, Florida court docket, a new “related case” was listed on December 26 as a domestic violence matter being handled in family court. The case is sealed, so the people involved have not been made public. Nothing in the reports confirms whether the filing involves Antonio, Chelsie, or both, and no allegation has been tied to either of them.
Antonio and Chelsie have been in a paternity dispute in Broward County since 2017. Reports say the two share three children.
The pair have been in and out of court for some time. In 2018, Antonio reportedly accused Chelsie of being neglectful and asked for sole custody of their kids. More recently, he reportedly filed a lawsuit claiming she refused to leave his home after being served with eviction papers.
