The New York Giants were set to bring in free agent safety Kerry Rhodes for a workout on Tuesday, ProFootballTalk reported on September 15, 2013. Teams do not make workout details public, so Baller Alert has not confirmed whether Rhodes attended or whether the Giants plan to sign him.
Where Rhodes stands
Rhodes played for the Arizona Cardinals last season and was released by the team. He has been a free agent since.
The off field attention
Rhodes has also been in the news this year after Russell “Hollywood” Simpson, his former assistant, said the two had been in a relationship. Baller Alert broke that story in April 2013 and was first to interview Simpson. Rhodes has denied being gay and has said the vacation photos were taken on a trip with his business team. Simpson’s account is his own claim and has not been independently verified.
We will keep an eye on where Rhodes lands.
