Winter Ramos is writing a tell all, and she announced it on Love & Hip Hop New York.
Fans first got a glimpse of Winter in season 2, when she was working as Fabolous’ assistant and giving Emily B advice on how to keep her man. On last night’s episode of season 3, she came back with news: she’s writing a book about her life in the music industry, and she plans to name names.
The book is called “Game Over: My Love for Hip Hop.” According to VH1, Winter promises to hold nothing back, covering her experiences, the emotional abuse she says she went through and her famous former lovers. She has spent years in the middle of the industry. She worked as Fabolous’ assistant, considers Jadakiss a friend, and worked as a creative costume designer for Flavor Unit Films. She says she saw everything that happened beyond the videos, private flights and limos.
Winter is pitching the book as a cautionary tale for young women who think the celebrity life they see on blogs and reality TV is all glamour.
That’s a good message, but tell alls are tricky. Every name she drops puts her own business on blast too, and readers tend to judge the author as hard as the men she writes about. If this book is about exposing people, the question is who she’s really hurting, them or herself.
Either way, plenty of people in the game are probably waiting nervously to see if their name made the cut.
