Ari Fletcher says people overcharging her has become a regular occurrence, thanks to her social media fame. During a recent livestream, the entrepreneur and influencer opened up about repeated situations where beauty professionals increase their prices after agreeing to travel to her home for appointments.

Fletcher explained that the issue usually starts after a time and price are already set.
“I always end up in little situations like this…I’m not gonna really say trying to f**k me over because I don’t really think she trying to f**k me over, but it’s just like, it’s kind of unprofessional on your end when you’ve chose the time to come, and you chose your price depending on where I live, how long we will take, whatever. So, you know, now that the time is coming like, ‘Oh, the price gon’ change.’ Like, no, it’s actually canceled.”
She also said that she often pays whatever price professionals quote without questioning it in the moment.
“This happens to me all the time. I swear to God. I’ve been, like, it’s been so many times where I’ve asked people to come to travel to me or to do me a service, I don’t ask nothing. And I just let them come. And whatever they tell me, I just pay it.”
However, Fletcher said she later discovered that some of those travel charges were far higher than the rates listed on the businesses’ own booking pages.
“And a lot of times I’ll go, and I’ll look on their website…And it’ll say like $50 travel fee. And I done gave these people $200 extra for travel.”
Still, Fletcher clarified that the specific lash appointment that sparked the conversation was not unfairly priced and that the issue was more about the principle.
