Army Offers $5K Reward After Four AI Military Drones Stolen From Fort Campbell

A theft involving advanced military drone technology is now under investigation after several high-value aircraft disappeared from a U.S. Army facility late last year.

According to the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID), four Skydio X10D drone systems were stolen from Building 6955, which houses the 326th Division Engineer Battalion at Fort Campbell. Investigators say the theft occurred sometime between November 21 and November 24, 2025. Each drone is valued at roughly $28,000, bringing the total value of the missing equipment to more than $110,000, not including additional payload configurations that could raise the price significantly.

The Skydio X10D is designed specifically for military operations and appears on the Department of Defense’s Blue sUAS Cleared List. The drone is equipped with a 48-megapixel telephoto camera capable of identifying a person from approximately 2,400 feet away and recognizing a vehicle from about 6,500 feet. It also includes the Teledyne FLIR Boson+ thermal sensor, artificial intelligence-based obstacle avoidance, and a NightSense feature that allows autonomous flight in complete darkness.

Army CID confirmed that the serial numbers for all four missing drones are listed in its official reward notice. The systems were stored at the Fort Campbell building on A Shau Valley Road when unknown individuals gained unauthorized access and removed them.

Surveillance footage reviewed by investigators shows two individuals who may be connected to the incident. The suspects appear wearing dark sweatshirts, gloves, hats, and masks or balaclavas. Images released by authorities also show two vehicles believed to be associated with the theft: a light-colored four-door sedan and a dark-colored four-door pickup truck.

To help advance the investigation, Army CID is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Army CID Fort Campbell at (931) 801-0316 or submit an anonymous tip through the official Army CID tip portal. As of now, officials have not announced that the drones have been recovered.
