A$AP Rocky Confirms Drake Friendship Is Dead, Blasts His Rihanna Disses as “Soft” [Video]

A$AP Rocky is officially done with the subliminals. During an interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music to promote his new album “Don’t Be Dumb,” Lord Flacko finally spoke his mind and confirmed what everyone already suspected: the friendship with Drake is dead and buried.

When asked about the rift, Rocky didn’t hold back, labeling Drake’s inability to move on from their shared history with Rihanna as “soft.

“We was once friends, I feel like it’s over females. I feel like he wasn’t happy, and he expressed that,” Rocky explained. He noted that at their age, the petty picking at women should be a thing of the past. “For you to still be picking at a female and all that, that’s soft to me.”

Rocky compared the nature of most rap beefs to the theatrics of professional wrestling, but made it clear that while there isn’t “real smoke” in terms of violence, he simply has no room for Drizzy in his life anymore. He also clarified that his new music isn’t just a dedicated diss to one person, but rather a general message for anyone who has been talking behind his back.

“I finally did say something back to a few people. It ain’t just about one person, I’m talking to whoever. Whoever feel like I’m talking to them,” he explained.

The tension has been thick since Rocky’s new track “Stole Ya Flow” hit the streets following the release of “Don’t Be Dumb,” featuring some very pointed bars about style-biting and plastic surgery.

“First you stole my flow, so I stole yo’ b***h / If you stole my style, I need at least like ten percent,” Rocky raps, following up with a jab at Drake’s rumored cosmetic enhancements: “N**as getting BBLs, lucky we don’t body shame / Throwin’ dirt on Rocky name, turn around and copy game.”

After years of keeping it cool while Drake dropped shady lyrics about his relationship with Rihanna, Rocky seems content to leave the pettiness in the rearview, even if he had to get a few things off his chest first.
