A Baton Rouge assistant principal has been placed on administrative leave after being charged in the death of a co worker, 40 year old Lyntell, and her unborn child.
Police said Robert, 39, had his charges upgraded from aggravated kidnapping and child desertion to first degree homicide and first degree feticide after Lyntell’s body was found in a ditch last Tuesday. She had been missing for nearly a week.
Lyntell, a former Teacher of the Year, worked at the school where Robert was an assistant principal. Police said a young child was found near her car.
According to police documents, cell phone records place both Lyntell and Robert about 25 miles west of Baton Rouge, in the small community of Ramah, around 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8. The documents state both phones were there for roughly 15 minutes before returning to Baton Rouge.
Robert has been charged but not convicted, and a response from him was not included in the reports available at the time of publication.
