Things got tense after a funny radio interview. Over the weekend, Katt Williams sat down with V 103’s Frank and Wanda in the Morning in Atlanta, and he and co host Wanda Smith traded playful jabs on air. Clips of the exchange spread quickly on social media.
Then came the part nobody expected. According to ABC 13 Action News, Williams told police that Wanda’s husband, Lamorris, approached him outside the Atlanta Comedy Theatre on Saturday night and pointed a gun in his face. Williams reportedly told an off duty officer at the venue, and Lamorris was said to have run into a nearby Food Depot convenience store.
Lamorris tells a different story. He confirmed to police that he approached Williams after the on air exchange and that he was carrying a gun, but he says he never pointed it. He said his gun fell from his waistband while he chased Williams into the store, and that he picked it up without aiming it at anyone.
Police are investigating, and reports say surveillance footage does not show a gun. No charges had been announced at the time of this report. Baller Alert will keep you posted if more comes out.
