Beyonce reportedly had to remind Kim Kardashian whose day it was at Jay Z’s Made in America festival.
Jay Z held his first Made in America festival in Philadelphia last weekend, and Beyonce was right there to support him. Kim was there too, with Kanye West. According to people at the festival, the two women kept their distance from each other most of the day, and whenever Kanye went to hang with Jay and Bey, which was often, Kim was left on her own.
Radar Online says it has the reason why. A source told the site that Ron Howard was filming a documentary about Jay Z at the festival, and that Kim kept getting in the way of the cameras. According to the source, Kim told people she was a huge Ron Howard fan who would love to be in one of his movies, and Beyonce wasn’t happy that Kim seemed to be using her husband’s documentary as an audition.
The source claims Beyonce took Kim aside and told her the day was about Jay Z and the festival, not her. Jay reportedly stepped in as peacemaker and told Beyonce to play nice because of his friendship with Kanye. The source also claims Kim called her mom, Kris Jenner, that night to complain about how she was treated.
None of the three has commented, and all of this comes from one unnamed source, so take it for what it is. But Beyonce and Kim have rarely been photographed together, and this won’t help.
Kanye loves Jay and respects Beyonce. If Kim wants this relationship to last, winning over the Carters might be part of the job.
