Earlier this month, Lonzo Ball filed a lawsuit against the co-founder of his family’s Big Baller Brand business, just days after the family severed business ties over $2 million in missing funds. But now, in the wake of the new legal battle, the FBI has stepped in to investigate the case.
In initial legal documents obtained by The Blast, Ball said his former family friend and co-founder, Alan Foster, “fleeced [the Ball Family] out of millions of dollars by, among other things, creating a variety of corporate entities, in which he gave himself ownership interests and managerial control. Foster users these entities, some of which appear to be nothing more than shell entities, to, directly and indirectly, funnel substantial amounts of Ball family money to himself.”
As a result, federal agents have joined the investigation, in which the Ball family is reportedly cooperating. According to the Los Angeles Times, the FBI is looking to determine whether or not Foster, who served time in prison for his role in a $3 million fraud scheme, defrauded the family of the millions of dollars that went missing.
However, amid the investigation, Foster’s location is unknown.
