Boosie gave viewers a rare personal look into his love life during an appearance on “The Jason Lee Show,” filmed while his fiancée Rajel Nelson was still pregnant with their daughter. The rapper spoke openly about why they maintain separate homes, why marriage still gives him pause, and how their relationship found its own rhythm after years together.

When Jason Lee asked why Rajel lives in her own house despite the couple being together nearly nine years, Boosie said the answer is simple.
“She lives in her own house about 15 minutes away,” he said. “She like her space. That’s just how it is. I mean, I think we probably happier that way.”
While some couples push for one roof and constant closeness, Boosie said that formula does not fit everybody. Jason admitted he could feel “suffocated” living with someone every day, and Boosie agreed that experience helped shape their decision.
“We done tried everything,” Boosie explained. “By us being on and off for this long, we done tried everything. And we come to agreement that this is the best thing.”
Even with a baby on the way at the time of filming, Boosie said they were not changing the setup completely. Instead, they planned to make both homes work for their daughter.
“I got a kid room for my house and I got a kid room for her,” he said.
The conversation then shifted to marriage, where Boosie was noticeably honest about his hesitation. Jason suggested a future “Boosie wedding,” but the rapper said he still had not decided.
“I don’t know. I ain’t made my mind up yet,” Boosie said. “I’m kind of scared I’m gonna f**k up.”
He went deeper when asked what exactly worries him. For Boosie, love is one thing, but losing what he rebuilt is another.
“I lost it all and got it back. I can’t lose it all,” the “Set It Off“ star admitted.
One of the most talked-about moments came when Jason asked whether Boosie ever got “passes” because of his lifestyle on the road. Boosie said that changed as their relationship got stronger.
“The stronger we got, them passes kind of left,” he said.
But before they officially became a couple, Rajel handled things in a way Boosie never forgot.
“She used to pack my suitcase with protection,” he said.
When Jason clarified that he meant condoms, Boosie confirmed it and explained why it stood out.
“She know I’m gonna f**k around, but she making me protect myself.”
Boosie said that moment made him look at her differently and realize she was solid long before they made things official.
