Bre Tiesi is keeping things simple when it comes to Nick Cannon and her place in his life.
While speaking at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on March 15, Tiesi addressed her relationship with Cannon and didn’t leave room for confusion. “I’m always number one,” she said during an interview with Extra. She also made it clear that her focus stays on what works for her, not what’s happening around her.
“I got what I wanted and what makes me feel good, and that’s all that matters,” she said. Because of that mindset, Tiesi explained she avoids putting energy into Cannon’s other relationships. She said shifting attention that way would give others unnecessary influence over her peace.
“Giving anyone else that kind of attention… is too much power,” she added. “As long as my needs are met, I’m number one. I’m happy.”
Her comments come as Cannon’s personal life continues to draw attention, as he shares 12 children with multiple women, including Abby De La Rosa, Brittany Bell, Alyssa Scott, and LaNisha Cole.
Still, some of the mothers have spoken publicly about their own dynamics. De La Rosa recently described her experience, saying, “In a sense, it feels monogamous,” while also acknowledging the broader family structure tied to Cannon.
