The Arian Foster pregnancy lawsuit has taken another turn. Last week a Houston woman named Brittany sued the Texans running back, claiming he is the father of her unborn child and that he and his brother pressured her to end the pregnancy. She told local station KHOU the same. Foster has not confirmed that he is the father, and none of the claims have been proven in court.
Now TMZ has published audio of what it says is a phone call between Brittany and Foster, recorded after the lawsuit was filed. According to TMZ, she can be heard saying she never said Foster told her to get an abortion, and that she was never in fear of him and did not need a restraining order. TMZ also reports she said the suit was described to her as a way to get the ball rolling toward a settlement that would keep things out of the public eye.
TMZ reached out to Brittany about the audio. She told the outlet she does not remember the conversation and said, “The truth will always come out.” She also said the matter is none of the world’s business anymore.
Earlier in the week the Houston Chronicle reported that hearings in the case had been postponed while both sides discussed a possible settlement, and her attorney said he hoped for an amicable resolution.
So where does that leave things? The audio is reported by TMZ and has not been tested in court, and she has not confirmed it reflects what she meant. Two very different versions are now public, and we will share more as it is reported.
