Ice Spice was involved in a physical altercation inside a Los Angeles McDonald’s early Wednesday, according to footage and statements released Thursday. Video reportedly shows the rapper seated in a booth with a companion when a young woman approached and attempted to join them.
Witness video indicates Ice Spice and her companion declined the interaction and motioned for the woman to leave. Moments later, the woman allegedly struck the artist, prompting a chaotic scene as others intervened and people moved through the restaurant. Separate footage filmed outside appears to show continued arguing between the groups as they crossed the street.
TMZ reported that one phone found on the ground may have been damaged during the confrontation. No independent police confirmation of that allegation was immediately available.
Ice Spice’s attorney Bradford Cohen said in a statement, “The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly. We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security.”
Vayah, a woman identified by TMZ as participating in the incident, offered a different account. She claimed Ice Spice was rude when she tried to greet the performer and said the rapper called her a “b***h” before she responded physically. Authorities have not announced arrests or charges as of Thursday afternoon in connection with the dispute in Hollywood Wednesday morning local time there today still pending review now.
