Cam’ron has questions for the scammers, and according to him, they’re falling short where it really counts: gas prices.

During a recent episode of “Talk With Flee,” the Harlem rapper turned media personality launched into a hilarious but painfully relatable rant about the rising cost of filling up a tank. Referencing comments originally made by fellow rapper Plies, Cam joked that people allegedly running elaborate scams online should have figured out a way to help working people survive outrageous gas prices by now.
“Almost $200 a gallon. And where the f**k are the scammers at?” Cam said during the episode. “Y’all motherf**kers got everybody’s social security number… and y’all ain’t figured this gas thing out?”
Cam explained that he recently returned from Los Angeles and ended up paying $168 to fill his tank, a number he clearly still hadn’t emotionally recovered from. According to him, his usual fill-up costs around $89, making the jump feel even more offensive.
The rapper kept the jokes coming while painting scammers as strangely absent during a national struggle everybody can actually relate to. Cam sarcastically questioned why nobody was outside gas stations helping people at the pump or holding late-night “strategy meetings” in hotel rooms dedicated to solving gas prices.
At one point, he even shouted out Plies for inspiring the conversation, saying he completely agreed with the Florida rapper’s frustration. “You got one job, it’s to steal,” Cam joked before adding that scammers somehow still haven’t “figured the gas thing out.”
The conversation later shifted into stories about so-called “dumpster diving,” with Cam recalling an ex-girlfriend warning him years ago about scammers searching through trash cans for old mail, personal information, and financial documents. He admitted he was shocked to learn people allegedly go as far as splitting discarded mail between multiple garbage bags to avoid identity theft.
Underneath the comedy, the moment connected because it tapped into a very real frustration. As everyday costs continue climbing, even jokes about gas prices are hitting a little closer to home these days.
