Cardi B is not directly addressing the “SNL” rehearsal drama, but fans believe her latest tweet says plenty.
Just hours after reports claimed she had a backstage blowup during the “Saturday Night Live” 1,000th episode, Cardi jumped on Twitter with a message.
“Hmmm all these little random stories…f**k it, let them talk, let them eat cake, let them come to the ballllll,” she tweeted.
The timing has people connecting dots. On Wednesday, sources told TMZ that Cardi reacted strongly during rehearsal after overhearing a “Weekend Update” joke about Nicki Minaj’s MAGA affiliation. Although the joke did not reference Cardi directly, insiders claimed she was upset, given her history with Nicki, including past social media exchanges involving Cardi’s children.
According to those reports, Cardi allegedly threw her phone at a backstage monitor and later punched a screen inside a producer’s office. The damaged equipment reportedly had to be replaced before dress rehearsal continued, and the joke was ultimately scrapped before the live show. Representatives for Cardi and Saturday Night Live have not publicly commented.
While she did not mention “SNL” or Minaj by name, the phrase “all these little random stories” has many reading between the lines.
