Cardi B has returned to court in an escalating legal dispute with blogger Tasha K, alleging continued violations of a prior agreement tied to a high-profile defamation case.
According to newly filed court documents, Cardi B claims that Tasha K breached a non-disparagement clause by making public statements about her former husband, Offset, despite being legally prohibited from doing so. The clause was part of a settlement arrangement following a defamation judgment awarded in Cardi B’s favor.
The dispute stems from a previous ruling in which Cardi B secured a $4 million judgment against Tasha K. After the blogger filed for bankruptcy, both parties reached a revised agreement that reduced the debt to .2 million, contingent on consistent monthly payments and compliance with strict non-disparagement terms. Those terms explicitly barred Tasha K from discussing Cardi B or individuals closely associated with her, including Offset and NFL player Stefon Diggs.
In the latest filing, Cardi B alleges that Tasha K continued to publish commentary involving Offset, including claims related to his alleged gambling activities and a recent shooting incident that reportedly left him hospitalized. Cardi B argues these statements directly violate the agreed-upon restrictions.
Representing Cardi B, attorney Lisa Moore stated that her client is now pursuing additional legal remedies. Cardi B is requesting that the court formally recognize the alleged breach and impose sanctions. These may include financial penalties and reimbursement of legal fees associated with enforcing the agreement.
The filing signals a renewed phase in a legal battle that has already drawn significant public attention. A ruling on the matter could determine whether the original financial terms remain in place or if stricter penalties will be enforced moving forward.
Neither Tasha K nor her legal representatives have publicly responded to the latest allegations as of this writing.
