The legal battle involving NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs took a sharp turn on Monday, as his former private chef, Mila Adams, gave emotional testimony.

While on the stand, Adams revealed that her relationship with the 32-year-old athlete wasn’t strictly professional. She described a “complicated” history that started long before she began managing his meals.
“It started out as friends,” Adams testified. “Became sexual. We would meet up, hang out. We decided I would come work for him in February of 2025.”
Adams explained that the two first connected via Instagram back in late 2022. By the time she moved into his home as a live-in chef in July 2025, shortly after he joined the New England Patriots, she was earning $2,000 a week. During her employment, she also prepared meals for Diggs’ then-girlfriend, Cardi B. The couple eventually split in early 2026, just before the Super Bowl.
According to Adams, the atmosphere in the home shifted in late 2025 following a dispute over social media messages and alleged unpaid wages. She testified that the situation reached a breaking point in December when Diggs confronted her in her bedroom.
“He came in intent to hurt me,” Adams claimed. “He was leaning against the dresser. He asked me to get up to come here. I got up off the bed and I came across to him. I stood in front of him, I stood on the side of him as he was leaning back. And he was like, ‘What was all that sh*t you was talking?’”
Adams alleged that before she could respond, Diggs struck her with an open hand. She became visibly shaken as she described what happened next. “He took his arm and he came around my neck and put his elbow around my neck,” she testified. “He began to choke me, [put] pressure on my neck.” She further alleged that he fell on top of her on the bed while continuing to apply pressure.
Diggs was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery following the December incident. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and the trial is ongoing.
