Chef Mila Adams is speaking out again after Stefon Diggs was acquitted in his criminal assault case, and this time she’s directing her frustration at celebrity braider Xia Charles.
Adams, who accused the former New England Patriots wide receiver of assaulting her during a dispute at his Massachusetts home, posted a series of Instagram Stories calling out Charles after she testified for Diggs’ defense. Diggs was found not guilty of felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery after a two-day trial in Dedham District Court. The jury reportedly reached its verdict after about 90 minutes of deliberation.
Mila Accuses Xia Of Lying On The Stand
In one Instagram Story, Adams accused Charles of protecting Diggs and suggested the hairstylist knew more than she allegedly admitted.
“Don’t let the fake Im a innocent immigrant talk fool yall, You also a liar that knows that man cheats on & treat your friend @iamcardib sooo bad!” Adams wrote.
She continued, “You love your client’s ight.. what you be doing I guess so.”
Adams added, “But hey Some people do anything for money !! Like you going up there lying!! & Not giving you back nothing ! @braided__”
Charles is a well-known celebrity braider and founder of Braided New York. Her work has been linked to major stars including Cardi B and Beyoncé.
Screenshots Show Alleged Text Exchange About Money
Adams also posted screenshots of what appeared to be text messages involving Charles. In the messages, Adams wrote:
“Yes she needs Cash App or Venmo”
“You sent them videos and photos saying nothing was wrong with me, I was regular I called you while I was in the kitchen at 4:30, I never called you in the kitchen”
“Yet you set up here & had me go meet him, passed all these messages, so this whole time you never mentioned any of this”
“This is so fucked up, you know he fucking did it, and him trying to give me the 100k to recant my statement with that bs letter his agent wrote & sent you.”
“Whole time you played Metoo, Send her a Venmo or Cash App”
“I would never talked to you ever again, none of this meeting up shit you put together, you put yourself in all this now”
“You were never neutral you picked your side and I told you that was ok because they pay you”
“Morals , you know how fucking horrible of person he is you seen it first hand”
“You dead wrong and now you in it !”
A gray response in the screenshot reads:
“Hi Mila, I was at work and now seeing your message, if you want to have a conversation we can. I don’t have Cash App, she can send via Venmo @xiacharles”
Another message reads:
“What you said doesn’t warrant a rebuttal, that’s your feelings about the situation and that’s your perspective. If you want to have a conversation we can. The last we spoke and you were venting I did tell u I was asked to testify by his defense.”
Adams wrote over the screenshot, “Testifying to lies!! You begged me to take the money so you didn’t have to go to court @braided__”
What Xia Charles Testified In Court
According to court coverage, Charles testified for the defense and said Adams stayed with her in New York after the alleged December 2 incident. Charles reportedly said she did not notice marks or bruising on Adams, and said Adams did not mention an assault during that time. She also testified that Adams later said she was going to sue Diggs and “would make him pay.”
Defense witnesses, including Charles, were used to challenge Adams’ version of events. CBS Boston reported that the defense called seven witnesses, while Diggs did not testify.
Background On The Stefon Diggs Case
Adams testified that Diggs allegedly slapped and choked her after an argument over pay. Diggs’ attorneys denied the accusations and argued the alleged incident never happened. Prosecutors presented Adams’ testimony and a Dedham police officer who took the report, while the defense focused on what it described as inconsistencies and lack of documented injuries.
The Associated Press reported that the case centered on an alleged December 2 incident at Diggs’ Dedham home, while Reuters reported Adams had been working for Diggs as a live-in chef and that the dispute involved pay.
Following the verdict, Diggs was cleared of both charges. Adams, however, appears to be standing by her claims and is now accusing Charles of helping protect the NFL star.
As of now, Charles does not appear to have publicly responded to Adams’ latest Instagram Story accusations.
