Chris Brown is staying unbothered by the divided feedback surrounding his 12th studio project, Brown. After the album’s release sparked a wave of debate online, the R&B star took to Instagram to share his perspective on the scrutiny.
Known for his “take it or leave it” attitude, the singer surprised some followers with a measured response to the critics.
“Just wanna say thank you to everyone who listened to this album. Been a lot of mixed reviews and I can take my audience’s criticism and opinions. The last 3 albums have came under the same scrutiny and it eventually grew on people. Thank you for even taking the time out to listen,” he wrote.
Breezy isn’t one to bite his tongue or care about how the haters feel about his music, and his track record proves he plays the long game. He seems confident that Brown will follow the same path as his previous works, which often gained more appreciation months after their initial debut.
Regardless of the internet chatter, the numbers and business moves tell a different story of success. It was just announced that he and Usher are going on tour together, proving that his star power remains untouched.
It’s clear that the reviews don’t make or break him when stadium stages are waiting.
