Ray J’s weekend in Las Vegas reportedly ended in a hospital bed after what started as internet entertainment quickly turned serious. According to TMZ, the singer and reality star checked himself into a Las Vegas hospital just hours after being knocked out during a fight with viral comedian Supa Hot Fire. Sources told the outlet Ray J has now remained hospitalized for multiple days while doctors run tests connected to possible concussion symptoms and concerns surrounding his heart rate.
The situation hits differently because Ray J has already spent much of this year publicly battling major health problems. Back in January, the 45-year-old was hospitalized with severe pneumonia and heart pain. TMZ previously reported doctors performed X-rays and an echocardiogram while monitoring his condition. Weeks later, Ray J revealed in an emotional Instagram video that his heart was “only beating like 25 percent.” PEOPLE later confirmed he had been prescribed multiple medications and warned about the possibility of needing a pacemaker or defibrillator.
During a separate livestream earlier this year, Ray J admitted years of heavy alcohol and drug use may have contributed to his declining health. “I thought I could handle all the alcohol. I could handle all the Adderall,” he said. “But I couldn’t.”
Now fans are looking at this latest hospitalization with even more concern. What was supposed to be another viral moment inside the influencer fight world suddenly turned into another reminder that Ray J’s health battle may be much more serious than people realized.
So far, Ray J has not publicly addressed his current condition beyond the reports.
