Claressa Shields and Mz Shyneka Apologize After "Somebody's Husband" Jab

Claressa Shields and Atlanta radio personality Mz. Shyneka have officially squashed their beef, months after a heated interview about rapper Papoose turned into a public feud. Shyneka shared photos and videos of the two reuniting on Instagram, revealing that an unexpected conversation ended with both women listening to each other, apologizing, and moving forward.

Shyneka described the reunion as a “Divine Link Up” and admitted their conversation did not start smoothly. However, she said they were eventually able to hear each other out and take responsibility for their disagreement.

The tension began on July 30, 2026, when Shields appeared on The Streetz Morning Takeover on Atlanta’s Streetz 94.5 to promote her upcoming boxing match.

During the interview, Shyneka questioned Shields about her relationship with Papoose, asking, “How much longer are you willing to be in a relationship with somebody’s husband?”

Shields immediately pushed back, explaining that Papoose had filed for divorce from his estranged wife, Remy Ma. Although their divorce had not been finalized at the time, the boxer argued that Papoose was separated and should not be characterized as someone else’s husband.

The conversation initially ended without a major confrontation inside the studio, but the disagreement continued online.

On August 4, Claressa Shields posted a heated video accusing Shyneka of making additional comments about her relationship after the interview. The boxer criticized the host’s appearance, career, and previous marriage while accusing her of seeking attention.

Shyneka subsequently addressed the situation publicly, and actress Eva Marcille also stepped in to defend the Atlanta radio personality. What began as a question about Papoose had turned into a personal exchange.

Now, nearly three months later, Shyneka is acknowledging her own role in how the situation escalated.

In her Instagram caption, she wrote:

Divine Link Up is way bigger than me or @claressashields. We unexpectedly had a chance to sit down & talk like grown women & discuss our issue like respectable woman should do. I will admit it was rocky at 1st but we were able to LISTEN to one another & APOLOGIZE!”

Shyneka also explained that she believed the disagreement had been settled during the original radio appearance before other people became involved.

I have been called worse names lol; it’s not the end of the world. She respected the question I asked her on air & we were cool, but when others got in the middle it escalated into a war of words. Which I am ashamed to have taken part of I have a family & people that really love me in my community.

The radio host admitted that the fallout affected her personally and expressed regret over her participation. I was truly embarrassed & it weighed heavily on my spirit.”

She also addressed the hostility directed toward Shields, writing: “It’s literally ungodly all the hate people have against this woman who have never even met her smh.”

Shyneka closed her message by confirming that their issues were resolved and thanking those who helped facilitate their conversation.
