Latto dropped a highly anticipated vlog on Monday, giving fans an intimate behind-the-scenes look at her pregnancy journey, intertwined with the making of her upcoming album “Big Mama,” due May 29. The emotional footage begins with the 27-year-old Atlanta rapper at just five weeks pregnant, sharing the news with her sister Brooklyn — a quiet, personal moment before the world found out.

The pregnancy announcement had come on March 20, when Latto unveiled the “Big Mama” album cover on Instagram, showing off her bare baby bump while cradling a baby cheetah. Fellow artists, including SZA, Doechii, and Flo Milli, flooded the comments with congratulations.
The reveal came roughly six months after Latto confirmed her relationship with 21 Savage, whom she referred to as her “husband” in a September conversation with TMZ. The two had been rumored to be a couple for years before going public. This will be Latto’s first child and 21 Savage’s fourth.
Throughout her pregnancy, Latto has been candid about embracing the journey, sharing that she “prayed” for the opportunity to start a family and expressing gratitude for the timing of both her personal and professional growth. She also confirmed during a Paper magazine cover shoot vlog that both she and 21 Savage were hoping for a girl, saying, “We both want a girl.”
The new vlog closes on a raw, reflective note — Latto at 37 weeks, grappling with how motherhood will reshape her career. She jokes, “I need a million dollars a show [now] ’cause I don’t want to leave the house.” The clip then fades to black with what sounds like delivery room audio, strongly hinting the baby has already arrived.
Latto has also announced that Big Mama will be her last album — a fitting close to one chapter and a beautiful beginning of another.
