2014 was a big year for BallerAlert.com. We did radio interviews, hit red carpets, broke stories and even had celebrities show love for the site. Before the year wrapped, we looked back at our five biggest blog moments. Here is the countdown, and here is where to get your tea in 2015.
5. Floyd Mayweather and T.I. In May, video surfaced of a heated confrontation between T.I. and Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas. Both men later spoke publicly about what happened. Baller Alert was among the first outlets to post the footage, and it spread widely from there.
4. Paul George and the paternity headlines. Pacers star Paul George was in the news over a paternity dispute, and Baller Alert followed each development as it came out.
3. Jhonni Blaze and Drake. When Jhonni accused Drake of sending people to her home, Baller Alert broke the story and published the text messages, video and screenshots she shared with us. Those were her claims, and we had not seen Drake publicly address them in our coverage. The story went viral.
2. Lou Williams. Baller Alert was the first to report in October that Lou Williams was reportedly vacationing with two women said to be his girlfriends, based on posts from the trip. The story picked up again in December and got plenty of attention on social media and sports sites.
1. Iggy Azalea’s wardrobe malfunction. Our exclusive video of Iggy Azalea’s pants splitting during a performance at a private event was the biggest thing we posted all year. It passed 7 million views on YouTube and was picked up by multiple television and entertainment outlets.
