D4vd’s Former Friend Neo Langston Speaks Out on Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s Death: “It’s About Getting Justice for the Victim”

The investigation into the tragic death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez has intensified now that Neo Langston, a former friend of singer D4vd, has addressed the situation publicly.

In a series of social media updates, Langston suggested that D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, has more information regarding the case than has been shared with authorities.

Langston, a popular streamer who recently testified before a grand jury, first sparked a frenzy after posting messages to his Instagram “Close Friends” story. In those now-deleted posts, he claimed to be legally protected and taunted those doubting him, stating, “Thankfully I’m legally fine in every way, AND BOI DO I GOT ALL MY RECEIPTS FOR THINGS HAHAHAHA.”

He also expressed frustration over his name being tied to the investigation following his arrest last month for failing to appear as a witness, writing, “I told so many people that I trust and I thought knew me as a person my side of things, all for that to be thrown out the f**kin window as soon as I get arrested and they slap that d**kheads name next to mine.”

Following the backlash from those initial posts, Langston followed up this past weekend with a much more formal statement to clarify his stance. He explained that his previous silence was not due to a lack of concern but rather a desire to let the legal process play out.

“I understand due to my silence and the silence in general, it leaves a void of information that everyone wants to fill,” Langston wrote. “But at the end of the day, this case isn’t about me, it isn’t about you, it’s about getting justice for the victim and her family, and I care a lot more about that then trying to fill that void because of public opinion (obviously wasn’t doing my part at first, but now I am).”

He noted that he remains committed to his perspective despite the pressure of social media. “I’ve stayed loyal to my mindset, and I will continue to. I’m not publicly going to give any opinion or emotion about this case because I find it disrespectful and not my place to weigh in on it especially as it’s still ongoing.”

Langston also made it clear that he will not be using his platform to defend his reputation while the investigation continues.

“I’m not gonna spam post to justify and perform my feelings and thoughts for the internet, trying to satisfy people who have already made up their minds about me. In time, the record will speak for itself, and I’m moving on with my life.”

The timing of these claims has drawn skepticism from legal experts. Private investigator Steve Fischer questioned why Langston waited months and a felony arrest for a witness no-show before going public. Fischer noted on Jesse Weber Live that “Six months is far too long,” adding that “Neo himself said, ‘He’s got a lot, a lot more information.’ So he knows a lot about this. So how can he not?”

Hernandez’s remains were found in September 2025 inside the front trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd. The vehicle had been impounded in California while the singer was reportedly on tour. Court filings from February officially identified D4vd as the central target of the grand jury’s investigation. Detectives described a gruesome scene at the tow yard, where they discovered the dismembered remains of the 14-year-old in separate bags.

Further allegations suggest that D4vd may have been aware of the victim’s age. Fischer claimed that there is proof, including texts and photos, showing the singer was in a relationship with Hernandez and at least one other minor simultaneously.

“There’s proof and some of it I obviously can’t get into, but there’s proof that he knew she was a minor,” Fischer stated, describing it as an ongoing pattern of behavior that investigators are now closely examining.
