D4vd’s name became one of the most searched in the world in 2025, not because of a new hit song, but due to a tragic and disturbing case involving 15-year-old Celeste Rivas.
According to Google’s Year in Search 2025 data, the 20-year-old artist was the top trending person globally. His sudden rise in search traffic came shortly after Rivas’ remains were discovered in a Tesla tied to him. The car had been abandoned for weeks before being impounded at a Hollywood tow yard, where staff found her body wrapped in a black bag inside the trunk.
Rivas had a history of running away from her Lake Elsinore home and had been reported missing multiple times in 2024. During that period, she was seen in social media posts with D4vd and was reportedly staying with him in a rented Los Angeles property.
When her body was found in September, she weighed 71 pounds and had a small tattoo on her finger that read “Shhh.” Law enforcement sources say they believe she may have died in the spring, months before the vehicle was towed. Detectives have searched D4vd’s Hollywood Hills residence and taken electronic devices for review.
“Accountability is coming,” Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton told the Los Angeles Times. “They are going to get justice for Celeste Rivas. No one is off the table, including him.”
Police have not named D4vd or anyone else as a suspect. Still, the case remains active, and the public’s attention has not wavered. In the U.S., he also topped Google’s list of trending musicians.
