DaBaby is wasting no time putting a stop to political speculation. On Saturday, the rapper fired back at reports linking him to a MAGA-themed Valentine’s Day celebration. The rumors ignited after conservative YouTuber and RNC Youth Advisory Council co-chair CJ Pearson began promoting an event called “MAGA is in the Air,” claiming the rapper would be a special guest.

Pearson, alongside a group known as the “Cruel Kids Table,” had been marketing the February 13 bash as a high-profile gathering for young supporters of the Trump administration. However, DaBaby took to X to clarify that he hasn’t signed up for any political rallies or parties.

“Anything mentioning my name & politics right now is fake news,” he posted, cautioning his fanbase to stay alert. “Don’t take the bait!”

The quick denial suggests that the event organizers may have been using the rapper’s name to build hype without an official agreement. While Pearson has positioned himself as a prominent figure in the so called Black MAGA space, DaBaby quickly distanced himself from any connection to it.

By labeling the announcement as “fake news,” DaBaby has effectively distanced himself from the February event and the conservative circles promoting it.

For now, the rapper is sticking to music and warning his followers to verify what they see on the timeline before believing the hype.
