The DeenTheGreat and Adrien Broner split has rocked the streaming world. The breakup is less about ending their relationship and more about giving Broner control of his own streaming operation. During a recent livestream on DeenTheGreat’s Kick channel, Deen revealed that he hired a separate cameraman for Broner so the former boxing champion could begin leading his own broadcasts instead of depending on Deen to guide every moment.
The announcement quickly inspired speculation that the unpredictable streaming duo was completely finished. However, Deen’s own words painted a more complicated picture. He made it clear that he wants Broner to become more independent, but he stopped short of saying their team or friendship had ended.Deen began by addressing Broner’s supporters, some of whom apparently believed AB was not receiving enough attention during their streams.
“I know a lot, a lot of his community in my chat spam hating,” Deen said during the livestream.
Rather than continuing to argue with viewers over how the broadcasts were being handled, Deen said he invested his own money into a solution. Broner now has a cameraman assigned specifically to him, which gives him an opportunity to create content without sharing the same camera crew or waiting for Deen to direct the broadcast.
“So what I did for y’all, so y’all can get off my d**k, I got him his own cameraman on my tab so he can get because he didn’t want his own cameraman,” Deen explained.
Deen suggested that Broner had previously resisted the idea of having a separate cameraman. Despite that hesitation, Deen apparently believed the change had become necessary for the partnership to continue functioning. His comments showed that he no longer wanted to carry the full responsibility of keeping their content moving.
“So I got him his own cameraman so he can, he sometimes he just, he gotta sell this s**t, bro,” Deen said. “I can’t be the pilot every time.”
Deen has often served as the organizer and driving force behind their content, but he does not want that role to become a permanent obligation.
“All day every day, So,” Deen continued. “He has his own pilot. He could be the pilot of his ship.”
Broner is not necessarily being removed from the larger operation. Instead, he is being given his own lane within it. His cameraman can follow his activities while Deen’s cameraman remains focused on Deen, allowing both personalities to create individual moments without competing for the same lens.
The decision also appears connected to concerns Broner may have had about how screen time and views were being divided. Deen acknowledged that Broner felt some of the audience’s attention was being taken away from him.
“And he feel like the view was being taken from him and s**t like…have your own cameraman, I have mine. I guess we’re a team though,” Deen said.
That comment challenges the idea that Deen has completely cut Broner off. Although the two streamers will have separate cameramen and may produce more independent content, Deen directly stated that they still operate as a team.
“I ain’t saying we’re not a team, but your cameraman, my cameraman,” he added. “Better.”
For Broner, the change offers an opportunity to prove that he can command a livestream without Deen controlling the pace. His personality has generated plenty of viral conversations, but maintaining a solo broadcast requires more than simply creating unexpected moments. He will need to communicate with his cameraman, develop content ideas, engage viewers, and keep the stream active when Deen is not there to take over.
They may no longer share one cameraman or one point of view, but Deen still considers them a partnership, at least for now.
