Relationship guru Derrick Jaxn says that he and his wife were separated and near divorce when he spent his birthday with another woman.
Jaxn took to YouTube to address the allegations that he slept with a woman named Candice De Medeiros. Earlier this month, De Medeiros spoke with popular YouTuber and blogger Tasha K about her affair with Jaxn. She claims he flew her out to Miami in July 2020 for his birthday weekend. However, Jaxn says that the affair took place while he and his wife were separated and contemplating divorce.
He claims that in February of last year, he and his wife, Da’Naia decided to separate. She ultimately took their children and went to stay with her mother. He insists that despite marriage counseling, the two were still headed towards divorce. Jaxn says that when Da’Naia expressed no interest in celebrating his birthday, he went into “screw-it mode.” From that point, he began to reach out to old female acquaintances. That is how he and De Medeiros started to having a “sexual relationship without actually having sex.”
The popular YouTuber says that he invited De Medeiros and several of her friends to Miami for his birthday. During that trip, De Medeiros took photos of him walking around the rented mansion, which he didn’t find out about until later. However, he maintains that the two never had sex.
“I’ve been acquainted with her nine or ten years or something like that. It was like through Twitter, but I did not sleep with her,” Jaxn says. “I didn’t sleep with her or anyone for that matter because…I gotta get deep. I’m not able to perform when I’m super stressed. I didn’t have confidence that I could do something in that capacity.”
He says that the reason he reached out to De Medeiros is that the two could always “just keep in contact, just talk, just flirt and keep at that” without getting physical.
Jaxn also says that once he began to get his life and marriage on track, he cut off all communication with De Medeiros.
