Desiigner is facing another domestic violence case after police say a dispute inside his South Carolina home turned into a frightening chase involving a hammer, destroyed phones, damaged vehicles and a mother running for help while carrying their child.
The Desiigner arrest took a more serious turn as new details from the police report revealed what the alleged victim says happened before officers took the Brooklyn rapper into custody. According to the report obtained by TMZ, the woman accused Desiigner, whose legal name is Sidney Royel Selby III, of attacking her, preventing her from calling 911 and following her onto a neighbor’s property.
The woman reportedly told officers that the confrontation began after Desiigner removed televisions from the walls of their shared residence. She said an argument followed before he became physical and used a hammer to destroy both of her phones, allegedly leaving her unable to contact emergency services.
From there, she said she grabbed their child and ran outside while yelling for help. She first attempted to reach one neighbor’s home but found nobody there. She then headed toward another residence as Desiigner allegedly followed her through a yard.
According to her account, Desiigner caught up with her and threw her to the ground. She also accused him of ripping away her Dior handbag and throwing it. Police reportedly estimated the combined damage to the phones and purse at approximately $2,700.
The woman said she managed to get back to her feet while still holding the child and made it inside a neighbor’s home. Once inside, she reportedly locked herself in a bathroom.
However, police allege the destruction continued outside.
The report claims Desiigner used a hammer and screwdriver to damage vehicles belonging to the neighbor. Officers said he later grabbed a chair from the porch and threw it through a front window, “forcing entry into the home.”
Authorities allege several windows were smashed during the episode, creating an additional $6,000 in property damage. Two witnesses reportedly called 911 while the incident unfolded.
Police said Desiigner later approached another neighbor’s vehicle, struck the window and asked to use the person’s phone. Officers arrested him at the scene before transporting him to Conway Medical Center for treatment. He was then taken to the Horry County Detention Center for booking.
Desiigner is reportedly charged with second-degree domestic violence and three counts connected to malicious injury to personal property involving damage valued between $2,000 and $10,000. The accusations remain allegations, and the criminal case will determine whether prosecutors can prove them in court.
The latest case follows a separate domestic violence arrest in the same South Carolina county earlier this year. Desiigner was arrested in March 2026 over an alleged March 2 dispute involving the mother of his child. In that case, she accused him of taking vehicle keys from her clothing, tearing her pants and throwing her to the ground. He was charged with third-degree domestic violence and released after posting a $1,500 bond.
His legal history also includes a 2023 federal indecent exposure case stemming from an international flight traveling from Tokyo to Minneapolis. Federal prosecutors charged him with one misdemeanor count after an FBI investigation. He later pleaded guilty and received probation, community service and a fine. Contrary to some reports circulated online, he was not required to register as a sex offender.
Before the court cases began competing with his music for headlines, Desiigner became one of rap’s fastest breakout stars. His 2015 single “Panda” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, landed a Grammy nomination and became closely tied to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music era after West incorporated the track into “Pt. 2” from “The Life of Pablo.”
Now, the contrast is difficult to miss. A career launched by one of the decade’s biggest viral rap records is once again being overshadowed by allegations inside a police report, this time involving a child, neighbors scrambling to respond and thousands of dollars in alleged damage.
Neither Desiigner nor his representatives had publicly responded to the detailed allegations included in the report at the time of publication.
