Diddy is now awaiting his fate as jurors began deliberating Monday in his bombshell Manhattan federal trial, following nearly two months of dramatic testimony.
The 12-member jury, eight men and four women, entered the jury room around 11:30 a.m. to consider five felony charges against the 55-year-old hip-hop mogul. Prosecutors allege he forced women to participate in sex acts with male prostitutes during so-called “freak-offs.”
Jurors heard from 34 prosecution witnesses, including Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and another woman who testified under the pseudonym “Jane.” Ventura spent four days on the stand, describing a volatile, drug-fueled relationship in which she said she was physically abused and coerced into sex parties. She claimed Diddy threatened to release explicit videos to keep her involved.
The jury was presented with hundreds of text messages and hours of sexually explicit footage, which they viewed behind privacy screens. One video shown repeatedly in court depicted Diddy assaulting Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel hallway in 2016.
Diddy has been held in a Brooklyn detention facility since his arrest in September 2024. He remained seated beside his attorneys throughout the proceedings, with family members occasionally attending.
He is charged with two counts of sex trafficking, one count of racketeering conspiracy, and two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution. A conviction on any of the top charges could mean life in prison.
Prosecutors allege Diddy operated a 20-year criminal enterprise involving drugs, kidnapping, bribery, and even a Molotov cocktail attack on rapper Kid Cudi’s car. Diddy, who did not testify, has pleaded not guilty. His defense claims all encounters were consensual.
