The Drake and Stake giveaway is putting more than $1 million in cash and prizes on the table during a Saturday night livestream. Drake is scheduled to go live on his Kick channel Saturday, August 8 at 9 p.m. ET as Stake celebrates its ninth anniversary with one of its biggest promotional giveaways.
Stake announced the event Thursday, August 6 and said viewers would have an opportunity to share in “over $1,000,000” during the broadcast. The promotion puts Drake back in familiar territory, mixing livestream entertainment with the massive giveaways that have become a recurring part of his public relationship with the online crypto gambling company.
The giveaway is far from the first time the rapper and betting platform have linked up. Stake formally announced its partnership with Drake in March 2022 after he had already spent several months as an active member of the company’s community. The original agreement included a series of livestreams built around gambling, fan interaction and opportunities for viewers to win money.
Stake describes the relationship as one that grew organically from Drake’s use of the platform. On its official Drake partnership page, Stake says the Toronto superstar became a high ranking member of its VIP program before the two sides turned that connection into a formal business partnership. The company continues to promote Drake as one of the most recognizable faces connected to its casino and sportsbook operations.
The scale of that relationship has also drawn attention outside the gambling industry. Forbes reported in 2024 that Stake’s 2022 partnership with Drake was worth a reported $100 million and helped push the crypto casino further into mainstream culture. Forbes also identified celebrity partnerships and livestreaming as major parts of Stake’s aggressive marketing strategy as the company expanded.
That history gives the latest giveaway a much bigger backdrop than a one night promotion. Drake has repeatedly used Stake to publicly share major sports wagers and gambling related content. In July 2026 alone, he placed a $1 million Stake wager on Conor McGregor ahead of UFC 329, continuing a pattern of highly publicized bets tied to major sporting events.
The million dollar livestream also arrives during a stretch in which Drake has been giving away serious money outside of Stake. Drake held his third annual Strong Women, Stronger Drinks event at Toronto’s Casa Loma on August 4, where 10 women received $50,000 each and attendees were surprised with additional cash and luxury prizes.
Drake has said the concept was inspired by the Toronto event What Women Want, which he attended around 2008. Speaking about what stood out to him, Drake explained, “It was essentially women gathering to network, to socialize. To be a man at the event, you had to work,” Drake explained. “I always loved that aspect of it. We would show up and work the event because that’s what the event was about.”
Now the attention shifts back online. With more than $1 million attached to Saturday’s Drake Stake giveaway, the latest event continues a partnership that has evolved from Drake using the platform into a multimillion dollar promotional relationship centered heavily on livestreaming, headline grabbing wagers and large scale fan giveaways.
