New Music Friday is serving three completely different vibes this week. Pooh Shiesty delivers another dose of Memphis trap, EST Gee leans into personal reflection, and FLO reminds listeners that healing and a night out can exist in the same space.
Pooh Shiesty returns with “All Eyes On Shiest,” his long-awaited album and first full-length project since regaining his freedom and catching a brand new case related to the Gucci Mane robbery and kidnapping charges. The project features appearances from GloRilla, Sexyy Red, BIG30, K Carbon, and fellow Memphis voices, keeping the sound rooted in the city that helped shape his career. While Shiesty’s legal troubles have often overshadowed his music, “All Eyes On Shiest” puts the focus back where his fans have wanted it: on the records as he fights his latest case.
EST Gee also delivers a more introspective chapter with his new four-track EP, “Sometimes.” The Louisville rapper has built his reputation on gritty street narratives, but this shorter project spends more time unpacking the pressure, grief, and responsibility that come with survival. Instead of chasing radio records, Gee stays locked into the reflective storytelling that has separated him from many of his peers. The project features the previously released “Call Spitta” and finds the rapper back in his bag.
Across the Atlantic, British R&B trio FLO returns with “Therapy At The Club,” their sophomore album and follow-up to “Access All Areas.” The 16-track project explores heartbreak, confidence, desire, and healing through sleek R&B and pop production while embracing the emotional highs and lows of a night out. In announcing the album, the group explained, “For us, the club is more than just a night out; it’s like therapy.” That idea carries throughout the project, transforming the dance floor into a place of confession, release, and self-discovery. With songwriting contributions from the trio alongside collaborators including Amy Allen, Julian Bunetta, and Oak Felder, “Therapy At The Club” continues FLO’s evolution while keeping their harmonies front and center.
Whether you’re looking for street motivation, thoughtful lyricism, or late-night R&B, this week’s New Music Friday has a soundtrack for every mood. Press play and decide which project is getting the first spin.
