Eddie Griffin got on his NNN show and let it be known he is not spending a single dollar on Drake’s Iceman album.
His reason has nothing to do with Drake and Kendrick at this point. Griffin is stuck on the fact that Drake went out of his way to diss LeBron James on “Make Them Remember” over something that happened at a concert.
Back in 2024 LeBron was in the crowd at Kendrick’s “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends” show in L.A. dancing to “Not Like Us” and Drake apparently never got over it. The track does not call LeBron out by name but the jersey number 23 reference makes it obvious who the target is, with Drake saying he is not genuine and built his reputation on switching allegiances.
Griffin thinks the whole thing is a reach. “I haven’t heard the album because I refuse to buy garbage, but the ice-melting man is said to have a song clowning LeBron James because he took a picture on the sidelines with Kendrick Lamar after taking a picture with Drake.” He followed that up with “He took a picture with your enemy? I didn’t know y’all were dating.” And then hit Drake with the closer. “It’s over. Just take your owl ass and travel in the dark quietly because owls, they move quietly.”
He also talked about how Drake is coming across in general right now, and straight up saying he “sounds like a bitch to me.”
LeBron has not said a word about any of it. People online are watching his new Nike NXXT Gen ad with Juju as shade toward Drake but LeBron has not confirmed that either way.
At the end of the day Griffin is saying what a lot of the internet is already thinking. The Kendrick situation is settled and Drake going after people for taking pictures is not exactly the comeback people were waiting on.
