It turns out that Mackenzie Shirilla, who is currently serving time for the murder of two young men, has her sights set on an unexpected legal advocate, Kim Kardashian.

In a phone call captured while Shirilla was sitting at the Cuyahoga County Corrections Center, she made it clear that she wants the reality star turned activist to represent her. As she put it, she really wants KK to be her lawyer.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for that to happen, though. While Kim has become a massive force in the criminal justice reform space, her work is highly specific. A source close to Kim explained that she puts her energy into cases involving people she believes were wrongfully convicted or inmates who have shown significant growth and deserve a second chance. Apparently, this situation just does not align with that mission in the slightest.

The case has been back in the spotlight recently thanks to the new Netflix documentary, “The Crash,” which takes a deep look at the tragic 2022 incident that claimed the lives of Dominic Russo and Davion Flanagan. Even though a jury found Shirilla guilty of murder and aggravated vehicular homicide back in 2023, the discourse around the verdict is far from over.

Online, viewers are dissecting everything from her hospital behavior to the family’s defense, and the documentary has only fueled the fire.
