Elon Musk is addressing public attention after his name appeared in recently released emails tied to Jeffrey Epstein.
The emails, which were published this week, include a 2012 exchange in which Musk wrote to Epstein: “Probably just Talulah and me. What day/night will be the wildest party on our island?” That line has circulated widely online.

In response to that attention, Musk took to his platform to push back on how the coverage is being framed. Musk posted that what matters is not the release of parts of the Epstein files but accountability for those who committed verified crimes with Epstein. He wrote that if at least one arrest results from the release of evidence, then some justice has been done. He said otherwise, public attention on the documents is “nothing but a distraction.”
This is Musk’s own public statement in response to the attention his name received from the released emails. The emails themselves focus on holiday travel plans and logistics, including Musk coordinating dates and travel to island destinations. This is how Musk is choosing to respond to his name being part of the public record in the released files.
