The Wait Is Over: "Euphoria" Season 3 Finally Has a Premiere Date and the Trailer Has Fans Locked In [Video]

Euphoria trailer

The wait is officially over for fans who have been holding their breath for Rue’s next chapter. “Euphoria” is set to return for Season 3 on Sunday, April 12, airing from 9 to 10 p.m. ET and PT on HBO, with new episodes dropping weekly every Sunday night, Deadline confirms. The premium network also released a first-look trailer, giving viewers a glimpse into what promises to be the show’s most ambitious season yet.

Created and helmed by Sam Levinson, the eight-episode season introduces a significant time jump that moves the characters beyond high school. The story follows a group of childhood friends as they confront faith, redemption, and the question of evil while navigating adulthood. The shift signals a darker, more reflective tone that expands the world fans first met in earlier seasons.

Returning cast members include Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and several familiar faces. Season 3 also brings an unexpected lineup of guest stars, blending Hollywood veterans, musicians, and athletes into the mix.

Production recently wrapped in Los Angeles after receiving a $19.4 million California tax credit, marking the show’s return four years after Season 2. The new season is expected to serve as the series finale.

At the Golden Globes, Colman Domingo teased what’s ahead, calling the season “a devastatingly gorgeous, epic season” and adding, “I think it’s gonna become more cinema than television.” He also confirmed the story will dive deeper into his character, Ali’s past.

Season 3 was shot on new Kodak motion picture film stock in both 35mm and 65mm, making it the first narrative television series to use 65mm at this scale. The visual leap mirrors the characters’ move into a wider, more unpredictable world.
