Damon, 19, was wheeled into a Daytona Beach courtroom shouting “God” repeatedly during his first court appearance this week, according to reports. He is accused of fatally shooting two roommates, Treay and Jordan, at an apartment complex in Florida on December 9. He has not been convicted, and a response from Damon was not available in the reports Baller Alert reviewed.
Video of the hearing was released to the public and spread widely on social media. Over Damon’s shouting, the judge said there was probable cause for his arrest and appointed the public defender to represent him. Bond was denied, and he remains in custody until his next court date.
According to Daytona Beach Police, the two victims were found while detectives were investigating a separate incident at the Jade Apartments. Investigators say neighbors heard gunshots the day before but never reported it to authorities.
Treay’s mother, Nerissa, spoke about the loss and about the young man accused. “He’s still a baby too,” she said, describing the pain of losing her son.
