Florida Man Stole Ring From Girlfriend To Propose To His Other Girlfriend

Trifling is one word to describe a Florida man who stole his girlfriend’s rings so that he could propose to his other girlfriend.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s office, Joseph Davis, 48, is wanted by authorities for grand theft after he betrayed both women he met on the dating site OkCupid.

To make matters worse, Brown, a convicted felon, tried to be slick and changed his name for each girl. He went by “Joe Brown” with one girlfriend and “Marcus Brown” with the other.

The first girlfriend lives in Orange County and had been dating him since 2015. Through Facebook, she learned that he was engaged to the other woman and noticed that the woman was wearing an engagement ring and wedding band identical to the one she received from a previous marriage.

That’s when she went to check her jewelry box and saw her rings and other items were gone—about $6,270 in property was taken from her, authorities reported.

She reached out to Davis’ fiancée, who lives in Orlando, and the two began sharing their stories surrounding Davis. Both had been lied to and stolen from.

The two chose to report him to the police. The second girlfriend also discovered that her laptop and jewelry were missing from her apartment after Davis had moved out.

She also informed the first girlfriend that Davis had once taken her to her house in Orange city while she was away at work, the New York Post reported.

She also said Davis claimed the home was his and had asked her to move in with him. When she agreed to do so, Davis acted as if the deal fell through.

Luckily, both women were able to dodge that bullet before it got worse.
